Lauren attended CW POST LIU, for her BS in Art Therapy and  she continued her education at the College of New Rochelle where she obtained her Masters Degree with a specialization with children. She has worked with children with developmental and behavioral disabilities, High School students managing stress levels with school, college, and family life, and adults who have been managing long term effects of their mental illness.  She utilizes an art “as therapy “approach which means she uses art to assist in emotional regulation. She also uses a cognitive behavioral approach along with the art process.  In her experience when working with both children and adults, Art can assist with building coping skills, stress management, increase self esteem, and foster self awareness.
